Johnny Prince ended up in the vampire-hunting business by accident. He was a scientist looking for a way to get rich, and one of his formulas suddenly caught the attention of a government agency he'd never heard of. Now he works in a lab that officially doesn't exist, supplying government vampire hunters with the advanced weaponry to take out the undead. And this is not the life he wanted. He wanted to get rich off of inventions and discoveries, not slave away for the government. Especially since this "calling" has already cost him the life of his wife.

But now, finally, he has a powerful bargaining chip. He's made a special weapon, an innoculation that turns human blood deadly to all but the most powerful vampires. He's the only one who knows the formula, and he's put it in the safest and most improbable place of all, his own daughter's blood. Now he just has to wait for the bids to get high enough.

Well, that's not all. Now his daughter's disappeared. This won't be good for business.
